Our Prime Minister is a problem.
We’ve got a $20-billion project in Alberta, ready to go.
And we’ve got a Prime Minister in closed-door meetings with his cabinet coming up with reasons to shut it down.
His MPs are out on Twitter saying it flat out, “It should not go ahead.”
This is a government intent on crippling one part of the country to buy votes in another.
We need a Prime Minister that is actually proud of what Canada is.
Not someone like Justin Trudeau, whose vision for Canada doesn’t work, and he’s too busy trying to buy UN Security Council votes to realize it.
Or worse – he just doesn’t care.
When Alberta’s economy is strong, Canada’s economy is strong.
The province lost almost 19,000 jobs last month, and that’s not something we can afford.
Trudeau won’t stop the blockades, and won’t approve the projects that Canada needs – but I will.
Let me know if you’re with me,
 Sincerely,

Hon. Peter MacKay
Conservative Leadership Contestant

What Canada needs, according to He-Man the beatdown King, is a flagrant disregard for the environment. The current Prime Minister is a problem because he takes the causes of climate change and Indigenous land title seriously. And, what is Canada? It’s Alberta. His manliness is illustrated by his rugged belief that O&G is more than Canada’s economy, it is the true Canadian identity.

Respectfully Peter, Canadians appear to disagree. According to Abacus polls, “Energy transition a widely accepted concept; Canadians want governments to work on it, not against it.” Their January 2020 polls found, 75% say it is a global trend, beneficial for Canada in the long term. Most feel it is necessary and will happen. In Alberta, opinion reveals ore discomfort, but most say a transition to lower carbon energy is necessary and will happen. 60% want the province to plan an economy less dependent on oil. https://abacusdata.ca/tag/climate-change/

What is Canada? It is not the vision that Peter is selling. This is just about fueling anger and further division.
