I'm up and running again for the National Conservative Party Leadership Race

It's been a busy term, but I'm back this time with the mail outs for the National Conservative Party leadership race. This time rather than letting the title and the letter speak for itself, I'm going to add in some commentary to frame and contextualize the letters. Plus, vent.

I noticed today, that not to be out done by Marilyn Gladu, Peter MacKay has announced that as leader he will force an election in October. Victory in hand his unified government will bring the hammer down on all those pesky obstacles in the way of Canada's resource industry blossoming and greatness. That's Oil and Gas because according to the CPC we have no other industries in this "broken" country.  (see https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/peter-mackay-says-hell-try-to-force-an-election-this-fall-if-he-wins-the-conservative-leadership-race/ar-BB10DRMD?ocid=spartanntp)

Alrighty then, beating down Indigenous protestors and Indigenous Elders easy-peasy, Canada and Canadians have lots of practice in doing that. Beating down the other opposition less easy, even if they are a bunch of communists and Quebec Nationalists, wouldn't want to risk votes in la Belle Province. Beating down those keeping the global price of O&G … "He's a manly man," he will build our plucky Canadian Forces … and maybe that UN Security Council seat doesn't seem such a bad idea. "Dream on Peter, dream on."
