Feb. 13 It's Not Just Experience, It's Being A He-Man*

* Apologies to He-Man @ Marvel Industries/Universe (I just don't know now.)

Peter MacKay Getting Someone Else to do the dirty on “the Islamic threat.”

So far, Mr. MacKay doesn't appear to have seen a political problem he can't beat down! He's going to beat down every dictator he can find. Well according to Ed Fast that is. Here the beat-down king is a little nervous about being tarred with his own beat-down stick -- and the tar is Islamaphobia.

If called to take responsibility for this particular dog-whistle the He-Man can always say, "It's not my fault! It's the Honorable Ed's fault, he said it!" That's probably not the most "manly" of positions one can take. Hey, Peter, own it and beat it down.

Subject: It’s not just experience

A lot of people talk about having experience.
They say things like “I held this role for this many years!”
But is that what really counts?
What counts is what you do with the role you’re given.
When Peter MacKay was Foreign Minister, Canada was known for taking strong positions.
Positions in line with western democratic principles.
We didn’t try to please every dictator with a vote at the UN.
When Hamas took over the Palestinian Authority, Peter MacKay immediately stopped direct aid because they refused to end violence and recognize Israel’s right to exist.
Peter made it clear that any threat to Israel, is a threat to Canada.
His track record speaks louder than any brave words.
I know that if Peter MacKay wins the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada, he will become Canada’s next Prime Minister.
And we will be proud of Canada’s foreign policy once again.
Sincerely,
Hon. Ed Fast
MP for Abbotsford, British Columbia

We hope you'll remain part of this important conversation on the future of our Party. Email is vital to our efforts to organize and fundraise for our campaign to unite Conservatives from coast to coast behind Peter MacKay. Only together will we build a united Conservative Party capable of delivering victory in the next election and beyond.

I do have one question: Benjamin Netanyahu: Third time is lucky Prime Minister of Israel or soon to be convicted felon?
